Selection of fibers to improve porous asphalt mixtures using multi-criteria analysis

Aramid fibers and glass are widely used in dense-graded asphalt mixtures to improve the mechanical characteristics. However, their effect on characteristics of porous has not been explored. This study evaluated influence aramid fiber, pulp, glass-hybrid cellulose fiber abrasion resistance strength while maintaining functional The performance PA-16 incorporated with was using Cantabro test, permeability indirect tensile (ITS) moisture susceptibility test. Finally, a multi-criteria decision method (MCDM), weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) combination criteria importance through inter-criteria correlation (CRITIC) as weighting method, is applied make multifaceted select best option among variety included study. Results concluded pulp remarkably enhanced improved ITS mixtures. Particularly, selected resistance, according proposed methodology.
